વડોદરા: વિજ્ઞાનમાં પૂરેપૂરો વિશ્વાસ રાખનાર અને યુવાવસ્થાથી જ સાયકલ પ્રત્યે વિશેષ લગાવ ધરાવનાર 74 વર્ષીય સુધીરભાઈ ભાવે એ અવનવી સાયકલો બનાવી છે. આટલી ઉંમરે પણ સુધીરભાઈ દરરોજ ઓછામાં ઓછું 10 કિમી ચાલે છે અને સાયકલ ચલાવે છે. વર્ષ 2013 માં નિવૃત્તિ પછી, જ્યારે તેમણે અમેરિકાનો પ્રવાસ કર્યો, ત્યારે પ્રથમ વખત ઇલીપટીકલ સાયકલ જોઇ અને સવારી કરી. ત્યારે તેની કિંમત 1400 ડોલર હતી.

સુધીરભાઈએ વિચાર્યું કે, આવી એલિપ્ટિકલ સાયકલ ભારતમાં હું બનાવીશ. ભારત પાછા ફર્યા અને કામ શરૂ કર્યું. પ્રથમ સાયકલ 300 ડોલરમાં (રૂ. 25,000/) બનાવી. અને બે ઓર્થોપેડિક ડોક્ટરોએ સુધીરભાઈ પાસેથી સાયકલ લીધી. સુધીરભાઈ એ જણાવ્યું કે, મારા મનમાં વિચાર આવ્યો કે, મૂળભૂત રીતે કસરત તો સાયકલથી જ થાય છે, પણ કેટલીક ખાસ ફરિયાદો માટે, સારવાર-ઉપચાર-વ્યાયામના હેતુથી અલગ સાઈકલ તૈયાર કરવી જોઈએ.



મિકેનિક્સ ક્ષેત્રે ઘણા વર્ષો વિતાવ્યા પછી, દરરોજ નવા વિચારો સુધીરભાઈને આવવા લાગ્યા, સમસ્યાઓ ધ્યાનમાં લેવામાં આવી અને ઉકેલો પણ ધ્યાનમાં લેવામાં આવ્યા. તેમાંથી, એક નવું ચક્ર બનાવવામાં આવ્યું. અત્યાર સુધીમાં આવી આઠથી દસ સાઈકલનું નિર્માણ કરી ચુક્યા છે. એક સાયકલ બનાવતા 3થી 4 મહિના જેટલો સમય લાગતો હોય છે. અને સાયકલમાં વપરાયેલી તમામ વસ્તુઓ મેડ ઇન ઇન્ડિયા જ છે અને જે વસ્તુઓ મળી શકે તેમ ન હોય એને જાતે બનાવી છે.



કેટલીક સાયકલની સમીક્ષાઓ YouTube પરથી પણ ઉપલબ્ધ કરી અને કેટલીક સાયકલો પોતાના ઇમેજીનેશનથી તૈયાર કરેલી છે. છેલ્લા 12 વર્ષથી સુધીરભાઈ બરોડામાં સાયકલિંગ ક્લબ ચલાવે છે. દર રવિવારે સવારે 30-40 સાયકલ પ્રેમીઓ ભેગા થાય છે અને સાયકલ પ્રવાસનો આનંદ માણવા શહેરની બહાર જાય છે. ખાસ વાત તો એ છે કે, આ બધી જ સાયકલો સુધીરભાઈ શહેરીજનોને મફત ફેરવવા લઈ જવા માટે આપે છે.



સુધીરભાઈએ બનાવેલી સાયકલોની માહિતી નીચે મુજબ છે:

1. શ્લોકી-પેની ફરદિંગ: સવારી કરવા માટે ખૂબ જ હળવી સાયકલ છે. પગની કસરત માટે ખૂબ જ ઉપયોગી છે કારણ કે સાયકલને ચેન નથી. કૃત્રિમ ઘૂંટણવાળા લોકો માટે ખાસ કરીને આ સાયકલ યોગ્ય છે.



2. અર્જુન: આ સાયકલમાં પેડલની પાસે સાંકળ નથી જે સાયકલના બે પૈડાની વચ્ચે હોય છે, સાયકલનું પેડલ પાછળના પૈડા પર હોય છે. એટલા માટે તમારે સાયકલ ચલાવતી વખતે આગળ નમવું પડે છે. આ ચક્ર ખાસ કરીને કમર અને પેલ્વિક અંગોના વ્યાયામ માટે રચાયેલ છે.



3. ટેલ બાઇક: આપણે આ પ્રકારની સાઇકલ ફિલ્મોમાં જોઈ છે. આ સાયકલ તમારી નિયમિત સાયકલની સીટ નીચે જોડી શકાય છે. આ રીતે જોડાયેલ સાઇકલ પર એક જ સમયે બે લોકો ચલાવી શકે છે.

4. સિયા ગો: આ એક એવી સાયકલ છે જે આખા શરીરને ઘણી કસરત આપે છે. 'એલિપ્ટિકલ બાઇક' પણ તેનું નામ છે. પીઠના દુખાવા અને કમરના દુખાવાની ફરિયાદ કરનારાઓને દરરોજ 3-5 કિ.મી. સાયકલ ચલાવે તો પીડા અદૃશ્ય થઈ શકે છે.

5. હમરાહી: આ સાયકલ ખાસ કરીને નાના વિક્રેતાઓને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને બનાવવામાં આવી છે. સાયકલની મધ્યમાં ટોપલી પર 1x1 મી. પ્લેટફોર્મ મૂકીને, વિક્રેતા તેના પર વેચવાલાયક માલ મૂકી શકે છે. ચક્રના કેન્દ્રમાં સમૂહ (વજન) હોવાથી ગુરુત્વાકર્ષણનું કેન્દ્ર જાળવવામાં આવે છે. સાયકલને સામાન સાથે સુરક્ષિત રીતે ચલાવી શકાય છે. જ્યારે સામાન ન હોય ત્યારે સાઇકલનું પાછળનું વ્હીલ ટોપલીની નીચે સરકી શકાય એવું છે.



6. દોસ્ત: 'દોસ્ત' નામની સાયકલ એવા લોકો માટે બનાવવામાં આવી છે જેઓના પગ કામ નથી કરતા , તેમની જરૂરિયાતોને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને બનાવી છે. બંને પગને સાઇડ સપોર્ટ પર રાખીને અને હેન્ડલને તમારી તરફ ખેંચો તો સાઇકલ આગળ વધે છે. પાછળના વ્હીલ્સમાં સપોર્ટિંગ વ્હીલ્સ હોવાથી સાયકલ કે સવારના પડી જવાનો ભય રહેતો નથી.

7. હાફ વ્હીલ સાયકલ: અચાનક વિચાર આવ્યો કે એક વ્હીલ એટલે બે અડધા પૈડા. શું બે અડધા પૈડા એક પૈડા તરીકે કામ કરી શકે? શું તેઓ સાયકલને વેગ આપી શકે છે? એક વિચાર આવ્યો, તેમાંથી આ સાયકલનું સર્જન થયું.

8. સ્પોકલેસ સાઈકલ: આ સાઈકલની ખાસિયત એ છે કે તેમાં કોઈ સ્પોક નથી. જો આ સાયકલ રસ્તા પર હોય, તો ત્યાંથી પસાર થતા લોકો સાયકલને વારંવાર જોઈને ખાતરી કરે છે કે કોઈ સ્પોક્સ કેમ નથી !!!

જામનગર: સાયકલનો એક દાયકો હતો અને સાયકલને મોભો માનવામાં આવતો હતો. સમય જતા હવે લોકો સાયકલનો ઉપયોગ ટાળી રહ્યા છે. સાયકલના ઉપયોગથી માનવજીવનમાં અઢળક ફાયદા થતા હોય છે અનેક રોગો પણ મટી શકે તેવો દાવો કરાય છે જેના ફાયદાને જાણીને જામનગરમાં અનેક એવા ગ્રુપ છે જે દર રવિવારે કોઈ પણ કાળે સાયકલ લઈને શહેરની બહાર પ્રાકૃતિના ખોળે વિતાવે છે અને લોકોમાં પણ સાયકલ જાગૃતિ માટે પ્રયાસો કરે છે.



આજના સમયમાં સાયકલ હોવી ખૂબ જરૂરી છે

આજે વિશ્વ સાયકલ દિવસ છે. સાયકલિંગ કરવાના માનવ જીવનમાં અનેક ફાયદાઓ રહેલા છે, જેમાં સ્વાસ્થ્યની દ્રષ્ટિએ અને સ્પોર્ટ્સ કે એડવેન્ચર તરીકે પણ લોકો સાયકલિંગ કરતા હોઈ છે. ત્યારે જામનગરના જાણીતા સાયકલીસ્ટ રાહુલભાઈ ગણાત્રા એ સાયકલના પ્રકારો વિશે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, સાયકલિંગ માટે યોગ્ય સાયકલ હોવી ખૂબ જ જરૂરી છે, જો સાયકલિંગ માટેની સાયકલ માર્ગ પ્રમાણે ખોટી હોય તો ઇજા થવાના ચાન્સ વધી જાય છે.



સાયકલ ચાર પ્રકારની હોઈ છે, જેમ કે MTB એટલે કે માઉન્ટેન બાઇક,  જેમાં સાયકલના ટાયર જાડા હોય છે, જે કાચા રસ્તા અથવા ઓફ રોડિંગ માટે બેસ્ટ છે. બીજા નંબર પર ગ્રેવલ બાઈક કે જે ઇન્ડૉરન્સ એટલે કે લાંબા અંતર માટે પરફેક્ટ છે આ સિવાય ત્રીજા નંબર પર હાઇબ્રિડ બાઈક છે, જેમાં સાયકલના ટાયર સલીમ હોય છે અને તે મીડીયમ રેન્જ માટે વાપરી શકાય છે અને છેલ્લા ચોથા નંબર પર છે રોડ બાઈક જે કોઈ પણ કોમ્પિટિશન માટે હોય છે.

યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સ જનરલ એસેમ્બલી એ 3 જૂન વર્ષ 2018ને વિશ્વ સાઇકલ દિવસ તરીકે જાહેર કર્યો હતો અને ત્યારથી દર વર્ષે આ દિવસ સમગ્ર વિશ્વમાં ઉજવવામાં આવે છે. આ દિવસની ઉજવણીનો પ્રસ્તાવ અમેરિકાની મોન્ટગોમરી કોલેજના પ્રોફેસર લેઝેક સિબિલ્સ્કી એ અરજીના રૂપમાં આપ્યો હતો.



વાસ્તવમાં, 1990 સુધી સાઇકલનો સમયગાળો ઘણો સારો હતો, પરંતુ ધીમે ધીમે તેનું મહત્વ ઘટતું ગયું. તેના મહત્વને ફરીથી જીવંત કરવા માટે, આજે વિશ્વ સાયકલ દિવસની ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવે છે.
